What divides people, and what brings people together?

Hi! Iā€™m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois Chicago, where I lead the Bridging Divides Lab. Before this I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Human Cooperation Lab at MIT and a Postdoctoral Innovation Lab Fellow at Beyond Conflict. I received my PhD in Psychology and Social Policy at Princeton University in 2017.

My research focuses on the psychology of conflict and reconciliation, primarily in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa. I also study how behavioral science-informed interventions can be harnessed to reduce conflict and address social problems more broadly.

To learn more about my work, check out my publications and research projects.

For prospective Ph.D. students: I will unfortunately not be reviewing applications this cycle for grad students interested in joining my lab in Fall 2024.
